Shadowy depictions of women reside in a submerged, mythic realm somewhere between sea, smoke and air. These tactile drawings created on ink wash are part of a larger series exploring a sea-creaturely feminine. Suspended between convoluted form and dissolution, mild menace and seduction, they refuse to be pinned down, categorised, or domesticated. They look back at us through the murky gloom, feral and fluid, knowing yet unknowable.
